THE DECISION IN BRIEF
The trigger feels comfortable bare-handed. Is that enough for a professional-use bottle?
Include the intended glove and fill weight. Finger reach, control of the bottle and repeated operation may change once the pack is held under working conditions.
Use a realistic hand position
Ask evaluators to pick up the bottle, select a mode, spray and put it down while wearing the relevant glove. Record whether fingers can reach the trigger without pulling the bottle out of the palm. A large glove can alter the space available around the trigger and shroud.
Use the intended fill weight and bottle shape. Holding an empty sample on a desk answers little about a full bottle used while reaching across a work surface. Do not require evaluators to adopt an unnatural grip merely to fit the candidate.
Compare observations, not adjectives
Record visible actions: grip repositioning, missed mode changes, interrupted strokes or the need to support the bottle with the other hand. Let evaluators describe discomfort in their own words. Avoid converting a small informal trial into a broad ergonomic or accessibility certification.
If a longer trigger or different bottle is proposed, repeat the whole task. More leverage may change operating feel, but it can also change clearance, carton fit and the way the bottle is carried.
Make the purchase decision specific
Agree the intended use conditions and which observations trigger a redesign or another sample round. Retain the glove reference and filled assembly with the findings. A later bottle weight or shroud change should not silently inherit the approval.
Retain the working glove reference with the evaluated bottle and trigger. If the fill weight, bottle grip or trigger geometry changes, repeat the handling comparison. A positive comment about the empty sample should not be the only evidence available to the next buyer.
