THE DECISION IN BRIEF
Can we loosen the closure slightly to make the nozzle face the right way?
Do not use an unapproved assembly position to achieve appearance. Define the required nozzle-to-label orientation and review whether the bottle, closure and line can deliver it while maintaining the seal.
Agree what has to align
Show the supplier the intended front panel, handle or label position. On an asymmetric bottle, nozzle direction may affect grip or use; on a round bottle, it may be a presentation preference. Those distinctions affect whether the solution belongs in the component, the labelling operation or both.
Compare several representative bottles and triggers at the agreed assembly condition. One hand-selected display sample does not show production orientation capability.
Review the assembly route
Ask the filling team how closure application and label registration are controlled. If the label is applied after the trigger, that process may offer a different solution from forcing a pre-labelled bottle to match an arbitrary thread stop. Do not assume either method is available on the intended line.
Do not over-tighten or back off the closure to correct direction without supplier evaluation. The approved sealing and retention condition must remain the basis of the trial.
Put orientation in the acceptance reference
If orientation is a purchase requirement, define how it is judged on the completed pack. Include drawings or photographs showing the relevant reference surfaces, plus the process used to achieve the result. Keep appearance samples distinct from functional approval evidence.
Give receiving and the filling line the same assembled appearance reference. If final facing direction remains variable, decide whether the variation is acceptable before the decorated order is released. An attractive manually adjusted display bottle is a useful target, not proof of line capability.
