THE DECISION IN BRIEF
The bottle sides pull inward after repeated spraying. Is the bottle wall too thin?
Do not change the bottle specification from appearance alone. Record when deformation develops and ask the bottle and trigger suppliers to review the filled package and its venting arrangement.
Check the sequence before the component
Photograph the bottle before use and after a recorded series of normal strokes. Note whether the sides recover during standing, whether dispensing changes, and whether the effect appears on every sample. Compare bottles at similar fill levels; a partly empty bottle is not a useful control for a nearly full one.
Keep the closure untouched during the initial sequence. Loosening it may alter pressure and erase the symptom. If a supplier asks for a controlled loosening comparison, record that as a separate diagnostic action rather than part of normal approved operation.
Bring both suppliers into the review
Ask for the selected trigger venting configuration and bottle construction information. Do not enlarge openings, drill parts or remove seals to create an apparently successful sample. Such changes can introduce leakage or change the approved design.
If the effect occurs after storage before any spraying, add fill and storage history to the investigation. The cause may not be the same as deformation that appears only through dispensing. A supplier needs intact samples, not just a description that the bottle feels weak.
Approve the complete behavior
A change in bottle stiffness can change how deformation looks without settling the underlying dispensing question. Reassess output, leakage, shape and user handling after any correction. Agree which observations are acceptable for the intended pack.
Write the package observation into the approval record: when deformation starts, whether it recovers, and what happens to delivery. Keep those findings with the selected bottle and trigger rather than accepting an unqualified description of stronger plastic.
