FINE MIST SPRAYERS / BUYING GUIDE

Review a Mist Pack Before Switching to Parcel Fulfillment

Avoid transferring a pallet-shipment approval to individual parcels.

THE DECISION IN BRIEF

Our body mist is moving from store delivery to online orders. Is the existing transport test enough?

Map the new fulfillment route and have the packaging team select an appropriate evaluation for the actual filled parcel configuration.

Describe what changes after the warehouse

Store-delivery packaging may remain within a case or pallet for much of its route. Parcel fulfillment can introduce individual handling, overboxing, mixed contents, and different orientation. Record how the retail pack is picked, protected, and placed in the final shipment.

Keep the actual filled bottle, cap or lock, retail carton, cushioning, and overbox identified. A test on loose empty components does not represent the delivered product. Ask the fulfillment partner which configurations are genuinely used rather than designing around an idealized packing diagram.

Review the new distribution configuration

ISTA provides different procedures for distribution scenarios and retailer-specific routes. Selection should follow the real route; one passing test is not a universal e-commerce certificate.

Recheck supplier claims against the actual pack

If a sprayer is advertised as e-commerce capable, request its exact scope and required protection. Aptar qualifies certain PZ1 transport results by container and formula. Do not extend a supplier’s test to your different bottle or omit the associated clip, cap, or packing.

Evaluate product and component condition after the selected test: wetting, cap retention, accidental actuation, visible scuffs, and normal spray operation. Agree acceptance criteria before testing. Avoid choosing whichever result looks best after several undocumented packing changes.

Release the tested configuration and fulfillment instructions together. If multiple overboxes or packing methods remain permitted, identify their approval status. Require review when the warehouse removes protective material, changes bottle count, or adds a promotional item.

The commercial comparison should include packing labor, material, space, and product loss exposure. A cheaper dispatch arrangement has value only if it preserves the delivered experience. Keep the final evidence linked to the exact filled assembly and route so future online launches can assess what remains applicable.
