THE DECISION IN BRIEF
Can a standard fine-mist head dispense our shimmer formula?
Do not infer suitability from the liquid base. Submit the finished suspension and particle information, then evaluate a specifically proposed construction and repeated-use sequence.
Describe the entire formulation
The supplier needs more than the statement water-based shimmer. Provide the product technical brief and particle information the formulation team considers relevant. Include how the product settles and is intended to be mixed before use. Do not promise that a larger visible outlet alone will make the system suitable.
Aptar's PZ1 page describes insert selection according to formula type; it does not confirm particle handling. Ask the proposed supplier to review the finished suspension and identify the exact engine, insert, tube, and formula combination it recommends evaluating for your product.
Screen the concept before decoration spending
Keep early assemblies functional and identified. Cosmetic development should not lead the project into a large decorated commitment before the suspension’s dispensing behavior is understood.
- Observe stored settling and the intended remix action.
- Check repeated delivery after ordinary pauses.
- Inspect nozzle accumulation without scraping it away.
- Compare early and late bottle performance.
Investigate interruption carefully
If the spray changes, photograph and retain the failed head before attempting cleaning. Ask whether material accumulates externally, within the insert, or elsewhere in the path. Repeatedly clearing the nozzle with a pin changes the component and destroys useful evidence.
Have the product team assess whether delivered shimmer remains within its intended appearance or composition requirements. A functioning spray can still deliver an uneven cosmetic result. Conversely, a visually uneven formula sample may reflect mixing rather than a defective pump. Keep those questions separate during the investigation.
Choose a viable pack rather than forcing the first idea
If no proposed fine-mist configuration meets the brief, discuss a different dispensing format or a formula revision. The commercial decision should include the desired application and practical reliability, not only the marketing preference for mist.
Release the approved construction and formula revision with any required shaking instruction and storage limitation. Recheck proposed changes to particles, pigment supplier, or suspension system. A new shade can change more than appearance, so it should not automatically inherit an earlier approval solely because the front label remains similar.
